Travel Medicine Fees for DPHC Overseas Civilian Patients

With effect from 1st July 2025 there will be a new mechanism for charging for entitled civilian patients requesting travel medicines.

The following travel vaccines are free and in line with NHS direction, this list will be reviewed when the NHS policy regarding travel medicine is changed. This policy by the NHS is under review.

(Polio) Combined diphtheria/tetanus/polio.
Typhoid
Hepatitis A
Cholera – this will ONLY be provided if it meets the strict criteria

All other vaccines and medicines for travel purposes not related to duty and posting for registered entitled family members and other non-military patients will be charged.

Episkopi: Lifeguard Course

Episkopi Station Swimming Pool will be running a Lifeguard course in order to full fill the much needed requirements for available lifeguards in order to cover the demands of the Station’s 3 Swimming pools.

Venue: Episkopi Station Swimming Pool

Course dates:22-26/09 and 29/09- 03/10/2025

Course timings: 0830-1330

Cost: €250 including Course Material, Assessment fees, Police Checks and Uniform

Course PreRequisites:

-Age: 16+
-Jump or dive into pool in deep water
-Swim 200m without stopping
-Able to swim 50m in one minute or under
-Tread water for 30 seconds
-Climb out of pool unaided
-Surface dive to the deepest part of the pool

This is a Level 3 , UK qualification.

Join the Cadet Forces Units based in the Cyprus.

We are recruiting Cadets, Adults and Service Instructors at both the Army and Air Cadets based on the island.

1 Overseas (Akrotiri) Air Cadets is based at RAF Akrotiri, they parade Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1800-2030. Their open evening is 23rd September!

Episkopi Army Cadet Force is based at Episkopi Station, they parade Wednesdays between 1800-2000. Their recruitment evening is 17th September!

Episkopi Station Swimming pool timetable for 08-14/09/2025.Due to a sudden lack of lifeguarding power some disruption to the programme might occur but they will try their best to avoid any cancellations.

They are looking to deliver another Lifeguard course over the last 2 weekends of September and details will be finalised and publicised by COP Monday.

Episkopi: CPSA Shotgun Skills Course

Members of the British Army Shooting team are holding a Shotgun Skills course at the Episkopi Garrison Gun Club on Sun 21 Sep 25. It is a course designed for novice and new shooters, including those that have never shot a gun before.

The course is open to everyone including children aged 10 and over.
