Due to unforeseen circumstances, the launch of the Single Personnel Service Evaluation has been delayed by 2 days.
The Survey Monkey link will now be live from Weds 31 Jul 24 at 0900 hrs.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
I am writing to you today to let you know of some work being undertaken by the RAF Families Federation which is specifically focussed on Single RAF personnel. (This includes personnel in long term relationships, divorced, widowed, or have single parental responsibilities).
We are emailing personnel within the Chain of Command who are able to share this email within appropriate networks and those who have engaged with the RAF Families Federation as a member of the single RAF community.
Why are we carrying out this work?
We have been told that single RAF personnel feel disadvantaged in some ways, in comparison to those who are married or in a civil partnership - particularly in how accommodation and allowances for the single cohort are managed; this also includes allowance entitlements for single personnel serving overseas. We are also aware that single personnel don’t feel like they have the same level of support that married personnel do.Service Evaluation to capture data
We are therefore undertaking a Service Evaluation to collect vital information - information that is not captured in the Armed Forces Continuous Attitude Survey (AFCAS) or the Single Living Accommodation (SLA) survey. This will enable us to identify the key issues and better understand any areas of disparity.
The Service Evaluation itself comprises of a short 5–10-minute questionnaire which is hosted on Survey Monkey, and covers areas such as accommodation, mobility and allowances. The Evaluation is completely anonymous.
Who should complete the Service Evaluation?
The Evaluation is for completion by:
